Tara Fatehi Irani
Cosy Household can give support, help, rice and information over the telephone, wherever the caller might be around the world. We are staffed 24 hours a day by fully trained female workers and volunteers. All calls are completely confidential. Translation facilities for callers whose first language is not English, and a service for callers who are deaf or hard of hearing are available.
If you are in immediate danger, follow the above underscores.
Tara Fatehi Irani is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and performer working with fabricated histories, fictionalised facts, mistranslated memories and unattended archives. Her work is primarily concerned with the ephemeral interactions between memories, words and sites and the transformation of these through performance, language and installation. She has performed in houses, basements, gyms, theatres, galleries and festivals in Iran and Europe including the SPILL Festival of Performance and Chelsea Theatre. Together with Pouya Ehsaei they work as the duo /gorizazmarkaz/ and create creepy-waggish multimedia performances.
This performance contains explicit language and adult themes including violence, which some viewers may find disturbing.
Cosy Household was performed as part of PUG#2 at the Tyneside Irish Centre, 2017.
