SEXXES is a performance lecture about gender fluidity. Employing DIY digital technology, Mamoru invites the audience to a roller-coaster evolutionary ride on sexual behaviour in humans and other species. SEXXES opens up a new door to look into the fluidity of gender that was inherited from our ancestors and will carry on evolving wonderfully into the future!

Mamoru is an award-winning performance maker and theatre designer based in Edinburgh. His performance works explore 2D and 3D, liveness and pre-recorded-ness, gender and sexuality.

His pieces, including 4D Cinema (Autopsy Award winner/Chelsea Theatre commission), PAINKILLERS (The Yard NOW commission), One Man Show (The Place Prize commission), Projector/Conjector (selected for Aerowaves Spring Forward).They toured in the UK and internationally. He also makes intimate short pieces that have been shown at Tramway, Duckie, Tate Britain, ICA, and Wellcome Collection.

Mamoru’s theatre design work includes Mincemeat (Cardboard Citizens, Best Design, Evening Standard Theatre Awards) and The Pink Bits (Mapping4D, Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Award).

PUG, performance cabaret night comes to The Stand Comedy Club!

PUG is an evening of comedy, dance, art and all the glorious things in between. Highly political, soulful and surprising, PUG presents performances by visual artists, dancers, poets, theatre-makers and people who work across all these art forms.

And there’s a cheeky disco.

Hosted by Hannah Walker, Rosa Postlethwaite and Jamie Cook.
